As a longtime fan of Granblue Fantasy and its Versus game, I couldn’t contain my excitement during EVO 2024’s final day when Cygames announced new content for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. The reveal of Versusia, a fresh character addition to the roster, had me hooked from the start.
On the third and last day of EVO 2024’s competition, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising’s Top 6 battles brought excitement. Following the selection of a victor, the day commenced with the first announcement. Cygames CEO Motohiro Okubo and Creative Director Tetsuya Fukuhara graced the stage to disclose the future of the anime fighting game. They unveiled a trailer introducing Versusia, a fresh addition to the franchise.
Players were given a sneak peek of the upcoming features in Version 1.50. Among these are enhancements to the game’s narrative and significant adjustments to the fighters’ abilities. Keep an eye out for a fresh mini-game in the online lobby, a new mode named Grand Bruise, a brand new battle pass, and much more!
As a gamer, I was thrilled with the new game trailer, but it turned out there was more to come! Towards the end of the video, a surprise appeared – Vikala, the cheerful and vibrant character, will be available for download in October. Plus, developers are working on Season 2 DLC content.
