Good Omens Season 3 Is Just 1 Episode, Neil Gaiman Involvement Clarified

As a seasoned gamer and ardent fan of Good Omens, I must say I am both elated and apprehensive about the upcoming finale episode of Season 3. The series has been a delightful escape from reality, a blend of humor, mystery, and a touch of the divine that resonates deeply with my gaming soul.

Good Omens Season 3 will be a single, 90-minute-long finale episode.

Initially, it was intended that Good Omens Season 3 would serve as the final installment in the Amazon Prime Video series, which Neil Gaiman co-created. This television show is adapted from the 1990 novel of the same name written by both Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Good Omens Season 3. Unfortunately, production seems to have hit a snag. The news came in that they were pausing work, and it wasn’t until September when allegations against Neil Gaiman surfaced, leaving many of us fans uncertain about the future of the show.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share the news: According to Variety, Prime Video has confirmed that Good Omens Season 3 will be a special 90-minute episode. Excitingly, production is slated to resume in early 2025, right here in the enchanting landscapes of Scotland.

Is Neil Gaiman involved with Good Omens Season 3?

As reported by Variety, it’s been revealed that Neil Gaiman did participate in crafting the series finale, but he won’t be involved with the show when filming resumes. Furthermore, he has been removed from the list of executive producers for the last episode.

Initially produced as a limited series by Amazon Studios in partnership with MGM and BBC, Good Omens made its debut in May 2019. The show garnered such a strong fan base that it was brought back for a second season in June 2021. This second installment aired in July 2023, leading to the announcement of another season, which would be the concluding third season, in December 2023.

In this production, Michael Sheen portrays Aziraphale, an angel, while David Tennant takes on the role of the demon named Crowley. Additionally, the ensemble features Jon Hamm as Gabriel, Doon Mackichan as Michael, Gloria Obianyo as Uriel, and Frances McDormand lends her voice to God.

In the upcoming Season 3 of Good Omens, production will be overseen by Rob Wilkins from Narrativia, a role he assumes as he manages Terry Pratchett’s literary estate, and also by Josh Cole, a member of BBC Studios Productions.

A release date for the Good Omens Season 3 finale episode has not yet been announced.
