It’s clear as daylight that Ajith Kumar is over the moon due to the triumph of his recent movie, Vidaamuyarchi. Fortunate for fans, another film featuring Mankatha actor is set to premiere in cinemas this year too. Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran and starring Ajith, is expected to grace the big screens on April 10th of this very year.
Earlier this year, we learned that Netflix secured the streaming rights for the movie after its theater release. As for the most recent news, according to 123Telugu, Netflix spent a staggering Rs 95 crores to obtain the film’s digital rights. If accurate, this would set a new record for the digital acquisition of an Ajith Kumar film.
Meanwhile, it was revealed on February 28th that the creators of the movie, Good Bad Ugly, unveiled their long-awaited trailer. This thrilling sneak peek, lasting approximately 1 minute and 29 seconds, offers viewers a basic glimpse into what the film has in store.
The trailer reveals Billa’s portrayal as a character named AK, who was once deeply involved in criminal activities and is currently behind bars. Notably, Ajith exudes his signature charm and panache in this role, a trait he is well-known for. It appears that the narrative will be split into two distinct periods of time.
Under the direction of Adhik Ravichandran, the upcoming film titled “Good Bad Ugly” is being promoted as an action-comedy. This project represents the first joint venture between the filmmaker and the leading star. Notably, Adhik Ravichandran has openly expressed his admiration for Ajith Kumar multiple times, stating that he created “Good Bad Ugly” with a fan’s perspective in mind.
The movie Good Bad Ugly boasts a talented group of actors, with Trisha Krishnan starring as the main female character and joined by Prabhu, Shine Tom Chacko, Arjun Das, Sunil, and others. This production is a joint effort between Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, with music contributed by GV Prakash Kumar. Abhinandan Ramanujam handles the cinematography while Vijay Velukutty oversees the editing process for the film.
On the professional side of Ajith Kumar, this year saw him in the role of a road action movie titled Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The storyline followed an estranged couple, portrayed by Trisha and Ajith, embarking on one last road journey together. Unfortunately, things took a turn when his character’s wife was kidnapped by local thugs, leaving him to track her down. Vidaamuyarchi received favorable reviews at the box office.
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the actor has expressed his intention to focus on his passion for racing temporarily. Interestingly, Ajith Kumar has established his own racing team and has participated in various international racing competitions too.
