The long-awaited movie by Ajith Kumar titled Good Bad Ugly is set to premiere in theaters on April 10, 2025. In anticipation of its release, director Adhik Ravichandran spoke about the extensive homages to Ajith’s previous films that can be found in his upcoming production.
During a chat with Galatta Plus, Adhik shared that incorporating such references would be relatable for Tamil viewers. He explained, “These dialogues are reminiscent of Ajith Kumar’s past movies and will be recognized by Tamil audiences.
For those who aren’t familiar with Tamil, these lines might seem like rapid, colloquial dialogue. The director explained that to avoid the need for viewers to know about Director AK’s previous film references.
For people who might not know yet, the trailer for Good Bad Ugly includes references to memorable scenes from Ajith Kumar’s past movies. Given that director Adhik openly admits being a fan of Ajith, it seems like the movie will continue this sentimentally-inclined style.
Regarding the plot summary, Good Bad Ugly is a humorous action movie that revolves around a retired gangster living peacefully with his wife and child. But when their son gets hurt due to an enemy’s attack, the gangster finds himself compelled to revert back to his old criminal lifestyle.
Led by Ajith Kumar, the movie features a diverse group of talented actors such as Trisha Krishnan, Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Sunil, Rahul Dev, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, Jackie Shroff, Priya Prakash Varrier, and several others in pivotal parts.
The movie is headed by Adhik Ravichandran as its director and shares the screenplay credits with Ravi Kandasamy and Harish Manikandan. This production is a first venture for Mythri Movie Makers within the Tamil movie scene, signifying their entry into this industry.
In this production, the music has been expertly created by GV Prakash Kumar. Abinandhan Ramanujam handles the stunning visuals as the cinematographer, while Vijay Velukutty skillfully edits the film.
