Award-winning actor Delroy Lindo (from “The Good Fight” and “Da 5 Bloods”) has been chosen to be part of the cast for the upcoming “Godzilla vs Kong 2,” which is set to release in theaters on March 26, 2027, as part of Legendary’s MonsterVerse series.
Lindo is slated to play the role of the main character’s superior at Monarch. Before appearing in the Godzilla vs Kong sequel, he will first be seen in the much-awaited vampire film Sinners, alongside Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld. Additionally, he is involved in starring in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming Anansi Boys miniseries.
Who else is in the Godzilla x Kong 2 cast?
In the upcoming sequel to Godzilla vs Kong, we’ll see Golden Globe-nominated actress Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart), Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Legion), and Jack O’Connell (SAS: Rogue Heroes) join the cast. Notably, Dan Stevens will reprise his role as Trapper from the 2024’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. This sequel is set to be directed by Grant Sputore (I Am Mother), with a screenplay penned by Dave Callaham. According to reports, the movie will introduce several new human characters as they team up with the legendary Titans, Godzilla and Kong, in their battle against a destructive, world-ending peril.
The MonsterVerse franchise from Legendary Pictures was launched in 2014 with the release of Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla, featuring Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Its box office success led to additional installments like Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), and Godzilla vs. Kong. Additionally, in collaboration with Netflix, an animated series based on Skull Island premiered in 2023. The studio is also developing a spin-off series for Apple TV+ titled Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which was renewed for a second season.
