The latest news indicates that there’s a possibility we might get to watch the sequel of Godzilla Minus One earlier than expected.
When is the Godzilla Minus One sequel release date window?
As per a fresh report from Bloomberg about Toho Co.’s upcoming ventures, it appears they are considering a follow-up movie for their iconic Godzilla franchise, potentially releasing it as early as the next calendar year.
It’s not officially confirmed yet by Toho, but it’s clear that a follow-up to the movie has been under development for about a year now. The director behind “Godzilla Minus One,” Takashi Yamazaki, is expected to be back in charge of scripting and directing this upcoming film.
Details about the plot of Yamazaki’s upcoming Godzilla movie are still being kept secret. It’s uncertain if any characters from the 2023 film will reappear in this new production. As of now, a release date for the movie hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Right now, you can watch Godzilla Minus One on Netflix. The cast includes Yunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki.
As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: “In post-war Japan, I find myself battling Godzilla amidst a wasteland. No help from the military or government is on the horizon, so we survivors must unite against all odds and stand up to the relentless terror that is Godzilla.
Yamazaki is currently developing his debut English film titled Grandgear, set for distribution through Sony Pictures. This upcoming project, being produced by J.J. Abrams, doesn’t yet have a scheduled release date.
