More recently, director Venkat Prabhu, known for working with Vijay on The Greatest of All Time, shared an intriguing perspective when posed a question about a possible follow-up film set for release in 2024.
At a gathering, the director faced queries regarding the potential continuation of the sequel, provisionally named GOAT vs OG. This discussion was sparked, given that Thalapathy Vijay has recently decided to take a break from filmmaking.
Responding humorously, Venkat Prabhu implied he would discuss the project details beyond the year 2026, possibly alluding to Vijay’s anticipated political career. In essence, he stated, “I’ll share the GOAT vs OG update post 2026.
Returning to Vijay’s latest movie, titled “Jana Nayagan,” it’s being helmed by director H. Vinoth, and at present, they are in the midst of extensive filming.
There’s a lot of excitement about the project these days, hinting that the movie might include brief appearances by directors Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee, and Nelson Dilipkumar. As per Valai Pechu’s report, these cameos are believed to be part of a song signifying Vijay’s transformation from an actor into a politician.
Yet, the confirmation is still pending since the creators of Jana Nayagan have not issued any new official statements.
