What do we know about Chad Powers?
Chad Powers is the character portrayed by Eli Manning in a series of ESPN skits. In these comedic scenes, Manning plays the role of Powers, frequently pulling pranks on fellow athletes or strangers by appearing unexpectedly and outperforming his deceptive appearance.
“In his college years, when Russell Holliday’s poor conduct ended his promising football career, he concealed his identity and joined a struggling Southern team under the guise of the skilled and friendly player named Chad Powers,” is one way to paraphrase the given logline in natural and easy-to-read language.
Chad Powers was jointly developed by Powell and Michael Waldron (of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), who also collaborated on writing the pilot script. In this series, Powell not only takes on a starring role but is also involved in executive production through his Barnstorm Productions label, alongside Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and ESPN. The production company responsible for this project is 20th Television, with Waldron and Adam Fasullo serving as producers.
