The sheer freedom to craft and execute my own signature moves is a tantalizing prospect that brings back fond memories of modding games in the early days of PC gaming.

Gladio Mori is a recently launched physics-based sword-fighting game, offering you the freedom to customize your moves as desired. Gone are the days of frustration from “That shouldn’t work!” or “Why didn’t that defeat him?” due to unrealistic hits not being recognized by the game. Now, success depends solely on your skill level.

Make certain that every action adheres to the laws of physics, as simply whirling a large greatsword like a top isn’t realistic. You want your puppet characters to avoid toppling over due to the weight of their weapons during battle scenes.

One notable aspect of this game is its incredibly accurate portrayal of damage inflicted on the puppet. It’s so lifelike, it can give you quite a chill. A well-timed strike at the arteries, muscles, or vital organs could mean instant defeat for your opponent… or you.

At present, Plebeian Studio is putting in a great deal of effort to enrich the game with fresh elements. Notably, it boasts a diverse selection of weaponry, such as a halberd, an axe, even a katana for our anime enthusiasts, and visually stunning maps to match.

Still, they want to add new maps, weapons, and a lot more. They’re currently working on Steam Workshop support, so that players can share their attack moves with each other, and fleshing out the graphics of the game to make it look better.
