Notably, Kyle dwells among the spirits of Woodstone, a unique characteristic as most people cannot perceive or interact with ghosts. This ability is a result of an event reminiscent of Fabio’s famous incident—being struck by a bird during a rollercoaster ride. For those unfamiliar, this references a popular occurrence involving the model Fabio.
As Pete prompted me to swing by Woodstone, I caught my friends Sam and Jay off guard by unveiling my uncanny ability to perceive the supernatural. Sam, who’s often grappled with being the lone specter seer, quickly connected with me. On the other hand, Jay became instantly wary, especially when Sam acted on impulse and brought Kyle aboard for our ghost-related chores.
As a gamer, I’ve always been one to keep an open mind, but when it came to Sam and Kyle’s quick bond, I couldn’t shake off a lingering doubt. Probing deeper, I uncovered a past incident where Kyle had been convicted for housebreaking. But here’s the twist: he claimed he did it to assist a spirit in retrieving a locket, which held significance for a departed relative. In his eyes, the six months he spent behind bars were a small price to pay for granting that spectral being its final wish.
In spite of his brave (yet illicit) actions, Kyle somehow contrived to create an uncomfortable situation when he attempted to kiss Sam, carried away by the thrill of encountering another spirit-sensitive person like himself. Predictably, Sam rejected him, and by the close of the episode, Kyle had departed Woodstone.
