As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours navigating through various horror games and movies, I can confidently say that Mckenna Grace joining the Scream 7 cast is a masterstroke! This young actress has proven her mettle in the genre, from Ghostbusters to Annabelle Comes Home, Malignant, and her stints on Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. It’s like she’s been training for this role her whole life!
After wrapping up her role in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”, McKenna Grace has now confirmed her involvement in a new horror production. Known as an emerging queen of horror, she’s been selected to be part of the Scream 7 cast for the upcoming chapter of Paramount Pictures’ enduring horror slasher series.
Grace is no stranger to the horror genre. Aside from her portrayal of Phoebe Spengler in the Ghostbusters franchise, she also starred in 2019’s Annabelle Comes Home, and in 2021’s Malignant. She also had key roles in Netflix shows like The Haunting of Hill House and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Grace will next in the several other upcoming projects such as the Kerri Strug biopic Perfect, the thriller drama Anniversary, and the family drama Regretting You.
Who is in the Scream 7 cast?
In the upcoming Scream 7, Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox will be back, reprising their beloved characters Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers from the franchise. Previously on Grey’s Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey hinted at discussions about revisiting his role as Mark Kincaid, Sidney’s love interest from Scream 3 in 2000. Furthermore, one of the original Ghostface actors, Matthew Lillard, has shown interest in coming back as Stu, even though it seems Stu died in the initial film.
In addition to Grace, there are also newcomers Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, and Asa Germann who have signed up for the project. At this stage, it remains undecided whether Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin) and Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), who appeared in the previous sequels, will rejoin following Melissa Barrera’s exit from the production. The upcoming seventh installment is being directed by Kevin Williamson, the franchise’s creator, based on a screenplay penned by Guy Busick. It is being produced by Paul Neinstein, William Sherak, and James Vanderbilt.
