Ghost of Yotei gets October 2025 release date

In the previous year, Sucker Punch Productions unveiled the anticipated sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, titled Ghost of Yotei. Initially planned for release in 2025, a fresh trailer has disclosed that Ghost of Yotei will be available starting October 2, 2025.

Sony and Sucker Punch have recently shared an abundance of fresh details about Ghost of Yotei, featuring a new trailer on the PlayStation Blog. Titled “The Onryō’s List,” this latest video showcases Atsu embarking on her vengeful journey. Following the tragic loss of her family at the hands of a notorious group, known as the Yotei Six, she targets these six individuals throughout the story in pursuit of retribution.

The trailer further explores the game’s main location, Ezo region, offering glimpses of it. In these scenes, we watch Atsu traversing a highwire, descending a steep mountain slope, and galloping a horse through a vibrant field adorned with colorful flowers. Despite being a tale of vengeance, Sucker Punch hints that Atsu will encounter unanticipated companions and establish ties that provide her with a renewed sense of motivation.

As Ghost of Yotei is scheduled for an October kickoff this year, it will fall conveniently between the launches of Bungie’s Marathon and Directive 8020. Don’t forget to mark your calendars with our 2025 video game release schedule, as the autumn lineup starts to solidify.
