Ghost of Tsushima: Everything we know about the anime adaptation

Enthusiasts of the captivating game “Ghost of Tsushima” will soon have another reason to rejoice, as an anime adaptation of the game is on its way! Here’s what we know about it so far.

Ever since its debut in 2020, the critically acclaimed game “Ghost of Tsushima” developed by Sucker Punch has solidified its position as a key exclusive title for PlayStation. Impressed by its popularity, Sony not only gave the green light for a sequel titled “Ghost of Yotei“, but also announced plans for a live-action movie adaptation helmed by John Wick director Chad Stahelski.

As teased at CES 2025, I’m pumped up because it looks like we gamers have a new anime in the pipeline!

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends

From the title “Ghost of Tsushima: Legends” itself, it’s clear that the series will be centered around the game’s multiplayer mode, which is referred to as “Legends”. This mode has a mystical theme and primarily revolves around characters such as a samurai, a hunter, a ronin, and an assassin.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel confident that the show will undoubtedly incorporate the one-of-a-kind aesthetic of the game. It’s also reasonable to expect that it will weave an engaging narrative around our valiant four heroes and their relentless struggle against the formidable Oni.

As an excited fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming anime, with little information available about its plot thus far. However, what we do know is that it will be helmed by none other than Takanobu Mizuno, the mastermind behind “The Duel” from the Star Wars legends anthology series.

2027 looks promising as we’re thrilled to share that we’ve joined forces with Aniplex for a collaboration. The goal? To share an anime series inspired by Ghost of Tsushima: Legends on Crunchyroll!
