George Clooney is once again getting up to his old tricks, ready to star in another Ocean’s movie. This time around, they’re planning Ocean’s 14, where Clooney and his long-standing friend Brad Pitt are set to reprise their roles as the leading heist characters of the franchise.
Recently, in an interview with The New York Times, I (as a fan) got a sneak peek at what lies ahead for the upcoming movie from George Clooney. In this new installment of the series, he hinted that “It feels like we’re all past our prime to perform the tasks we once excelled at.” More excitingly, in an interview with E! News back in 2024, Clooney revealed that the original team is reuniting again, saying, “We have a fantastic script. Everybody’s read it and they’re eager to get started.
As a die-hard fan of the Ocean’s series, I’m thrilled to share that there’s going to be a prequel on the horizon! This time around, it seems Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling will step into the roles of Danny Ocean’s parents. The prequel is being helmed by director Jay Roach and is currently in the works at Warner Bros. Discovery. If you remember, Ocean’s 8, released in 2018, was a game-changer with its all-women heist team led by Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, and Sandra Bullock, among others. The last time we saw Danny Ocean, played by George Clooney, was in Ocean’s 13 back in 2007. So, buckle up, folks! It’s time to dive back into the world of the Oceans!
