Thiebaud expressed how fortunate she feels to portray a character she truly enjoys, saying this to TV Insider. Since joining the soap opera back in 2012, she’s now into her third run. Admittedly, she deeply missed embodying Britt during her absence.
In January 2023, Britt was last noticed on screen, following an emotional portrayal of her death by the hands of serial killer Heather Webber (or “The Hook”). Despite her character’s struggle with Huntington’s Disease and a heartbreaking goodbye in her mother Liesl Obrecht’s arms, viewers are now stunned as Britt is set to reappear. Some attentive General Hospital watchers might have picked up on hints after Jason Morgan spotted Britt at an airport in Europe during the July 21 episode, which could be a sign of things to come.
The forthcoming return has sparked excitement among fans who are eager for a reunion between Britt and Jason. Thiebaud, expressing his joy over the fan reaction, commented on their chemistry saying, “It was wonderful.” He also shared that it was disheartening when that pairing ended, adding, “It felt like I had found someone with whom I could truly develop my character on the show.
As we move forward, Kelly Thiebaud is excited to explore fresh General Hospital storylines and further develop Britt’s character. “The path she’s taken, and her role in the series—from her beginning to her end—was truly captivating,” she remarked. She also pondered over the personal development she underwent during her time on the show, describing it as “quite remarkable.
