Is Jonathan Jackson leaving General Hospital and being replaced by Guy Wilson?
Actor Guy Wilson, known from Days of Our Lives, has been confirmed as the new actor portraying Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. But don’t get excited, this isn’t a permanent change; Jonathan Jackson is still part of the show’s cast.
Wilson is temporarily filling in for Jackson’s role in Port Charles, but fans shouldn’t worry because they can expect the Tuck Everlasting actor to return to the soap opera sooner, rather than later. A spokesperson from General Hospital has confirmed that Jonathan Jackson has already resumed filming, indicating that the actor isn’t leaving the show. The representative also hinted that Jackson might reappear as Lucky Spencer as early as late February 2025.
In 1993, this versatile performer first took on the role and remained until 1999, choosing to explore other opportunities. Later, in 2009, Jonathan Jackson reprised his character but left General Hospital again in 2011. He made a brief return in 2015, and finally, after many years, he returned permanently in 2024.
On the contrary, Guy Wilson isn’t new to the environment of General Hospital. Currently, he plays Lucky Spencer, which is his second role in Port Charles. Back in March 2006, he took on the character of a teenage Luke in a dream sequence. This scene depicted Lucky’s father and Tracy imagining how their lives might have been different if they had crossed paths during their youth.
