The recent plot twist in the General Hospital series has left fans puzzled as they ponder over Sasha Gilmore’s choice to maintain a distance from Michael Corinthos regarding their daughter Daisy’s upbringing. Even though Michael is eager to share parental responsibilities, Sasha firmly stands by her decision to be the sole legal guardian of little Daisy, sparking intense discussions among viewers.

In the latest General Hospital episode, I found myself engaged in a heartfelt conversation with Sasha about our daughter Daisy’s future. I made it clear that I wished to play a more active role in her life. However, Sasha was resolute, choosing to raise Daisy on her own, even though we’re temporarily residing at the Quartermaine estate. She agreed it’s important for Daisy to know who her father is, but she flatly refused to have my name on her birth certificate.

Supporters aired their bewilderment and exasperation on social platforms. One Facebook post read, “I’m fond of Sasha… but the plotline suggests that the writers are oblivious to reality… Michael is the father… yet she refuses to have his name on the birth certificate? She resides at his family’s manor and still keeps him detached from their daughter’s daily upbringing?

Others discussed why Sasha was acting as she was. Some thought she was shielding Daisy from the influence of the Quartermaines, with one person saying, “Sasha doesn’t want any family member to lay claim ever…I believe Sasha is astute.” However, another individual countered, “It made sense for her to keep him away when they were both in court over custody, but now that everyone knows it’s not clear what the purpose is LOL.

In spite of the turmoil, Michael consented to honor Sasha’s desires, albeit under one proviso: he would require legal guardianship should anything befall her. Sasha concurred, and the two exchanged a mutual nod before Michael introduced Wiley and Amelia to Daisy. Yet, this serene moment was disrupted for spectators as an unidentified individual peered at them from behind a window.
