The forthcoming Game of Thrones prequel, formerly known as “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”, has experienced a shift in its schedule. A fresh launch date has been appointed for this spin-off production.

When is the new A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms release date?

Based on a recent report from Variety, the release of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been delayed to the year 2026. At this point, an exact premiere date for the show is yet to be announced. Previously, Warner Bros. Discovery had indicated that the series would air before the end of 2025.

During Warner Bros. Discovery’s presentation of upcoming shows, it was announced that our favorite series will be postponed. They unveiled a trailer for the program to advertisers in New York City, and at the end of the preview, a title card appeared revealing that the show is set to air in 2026. Later, HBO CEO Casey Bloys hinted that the premiere might happen during wintertime.

In this upcoming series, you’ll see Peter Claffey, Dexter Sol Ansell, Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, and others take the stage. As of now, HBO hasn’t disclosed a premiere date for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight,” this upcoming series is inspired by George R. R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg novella. This captivating short story revolves around two central characters: Ser Duncan the Tall (also known as Dunk) and Aegon Targaryen, affectionately called Egg. The narrative unfolds a century before the main series events take place. It is anticipated that this engaging series will span across six episodes.
