Rajesh Kumar, producer of the hit film “Game Changer” by Ram Charan, is currently dealing with issues after Income Tax officers conducted searches on his properties in Hyderabad. According to a report from Gulte, these inspections have been ongoing since early morning hours. The searches are being carried out at various locations throughout the city, including Banjara Hills, Kondapur, Jubilee Hills, and Gachibowli.
Officials have started investigating a grand total of eight sites associated with prominent filmmakers in the Telugu movie industry. The inspections commenced early in the morning at the homes of high-profile producers. Among these, they carried out searches at Dil Raju’s properties, which encompass both his offices and residences.
As your go-to lifestyle guide, let me share that I’ve just wrapped up the release of two films during the auspicious festival of Sankranti, a momentous occasion indeed! Currently, it’s my honor to serve as the chairperson for the Telangana Film Development Corporation, working diligently to foster growth and success in the film industry here.
Besides Dil Raju, searches were also carried out at the home of his business partner and film producer, Sirish, as well as at the residence of his daughter, Hansita Reddy. Additionally, the production houses behind Pushpa 2 and Mythri Movie Makers are currently under investigation, with their properties being inspected by the Income Tax Department.
The searches have caused a commotion within the sector, with investigators delving deeper into the financial dealings of these well-known individuals. As of now, more information about the results of the searches is still undisclosed.
Known as Dil Raju, this famed movie industry figure was originally Velamakucha Venkata Ramana Reddy at birth. Recognized primarily for his contributions to Indian cinema, particularly Telugu films, he’s also invested in Tamil and Hindi productions. His business, Sri Venkateswara Creations, serves as the platform for these ventures.
Originally from Narsingpalli, Telangana, he developed an early passion for films. After completing his education in Mudakpally and Nizamabad, he delved into the automobile business alongside his brothers. In the 1990s, Raju transitioned to the film industry and established Sri Venkateswara Film Distributors in 1998. Over the years, Raju has garnered two National Film Awards and was bestowed with the revered Nagi Reddy–Chakrapani National Award in 2013.
Currently, Dil Raju’s movies, Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, are doing quite well at the box office.
