Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler’s Feud is the Latest Woke Disaster for Disney’s Snow White Remake

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share some intriguing insights about the upcoming live-action reboot of Disney’s beloved “Snow White and the 7 Dwarves” cartoon. According to Ynetnews, it’s no secret that its two main actors are bound to create a stir at the box office.

In the modern version of “Snow White,” it seems like life is imitating art. There’s no prince, dwarfs, or poisoned apple, but there are two contrasting women – one who embodies purity and kindness, and another filled with malice and prejudice. Interestingly, Israeli actress Gal Gadot portrays the villainous character.

Indeed, some might say this instance of scheduling is particularly unfortunate, given that it seems Gadot is eager to demonstrate her versatility as an actress by portraying a criminal. However, from my perspective as a fan, this doesn’t necessarily make it a suitable choice for a film project, considering the politically correct narrative Snow Woke adheres to.

Due to the reported lack of camaraderie between Gadot and Rachel Zegler, Disney Studios have had to maintain distance between them as much as feasible. They’ve been promoting the movie separately at different events, except for specific instances like the Academy Awards or the film premiere over the weekend where their interaction was minimal. Their encounters were limited to a few photos with forced smiles, giving an illusion of amiability.

Previous week, Zegler went by himself for a solo trip to Spain to publicize the movie, whereas Gadot appeared to get a more enticing role: On a Sunday, she visited Disneyland in California, interacting with famous Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with notorious villains from animated flicks. Fortunately for everyone, Zegler wasn’t there, preventing any potential discomfort at the “happiest place on Earth”.

A touching instance unfolded as Gadot stood alongside a band of young lasses donned as the Wicked Queen, highlighting their impeccable style. Except for one girl who, based on her countenance, seemed to lean more towards being Snow White, the rest were overjoyed and ecstatic about the meeting. However, following Disney’s upload of these images onto Instagram, the post has been inundated with comments criticizing Israel and Gadot.

As a devoted movie enthusiast looking back on last year’s events, it was quite noticeable when the younger actress openly voiced her support for Palestine and subtly criticized my stance. When she unveiled the “Snow White” trailer, she playfully captioned it as “Always the fairest of them all.” In another tweet, she expressed gratitude for the 120 million views the trailer garnered in just a day, and added a poignant message: “And remember, always, free Palestine.” More recently, those close to us have attempted to minimize the situation, informing People magazine that we simply don’t share any common ground.

It’s unfortunate that the movie seems destined to be both a commercial and artistic failure, which raises questions about Gal Gadot’s choice of roles. If she doesn’t have concerns about the politically correct slant of the remake, for example, one must wonder why. Adding another PC project to her resume doesn’t make it more praiseworthy. Moreover, Zegler’s continued use of Israel-disparaging statements, despite studio inaction, is concerning. Since she’s the main star, they could take measures to encourage her to be more discreet.

23-year-old Zegler and 40-year-old Gal Gadot share different political beliefs, which has reportedly put a strain on their relationship. According to sources, Gadot is growing increasingly frustrated with the drama Zegler has caused. “She’s upset about it,” explained the source. “In Gal’s viewpoint, you should not criticize or create turmoil around a project you agreed to be part of. Gal doesn’t understand it. She had an enjoyable filming experience and didn’t have any issues with Rachel. However, they are not friends; they worked together, and that’s all there is to it.

Over the weekend in Los Angeles, the two found themselves attending the same movie premiere, yet they made every effort to steer clear of each other. They managed a few posed photographs, but it didn’t go unnoticed by social media users who spotted the insincerity. One individual tweeted, “Their smiles are phony and forced,” while another echoed, “It’s evident that their smiles faded as soon as the cameras stopped flashing.

It seems their final film project together may be coming up (assuming Zegler continues in filmmaking). On a positive note, Gadot has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She’s also vocal about the October 7, 2023 incident. However, based on current information, this is what I can gather.

Following her induction onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a legendary figure, Gadot’s larger-than-life persona is expected to remain as vast as the projects she takes on. Not only has she stepped into the “physically demanding” lead role in Kevin MacDonald’s “The Runner,” but she’s also joined Julian Schnabel’s ensemble cast for a movie adaptation of Nick Tosches’ 2002 novel “In the Hand of Dante.” However, it seems that the scale of each film isn’t as important to her as the unique challenges posed by each character.

As a movie enthusiast, it’s troubling to learn that Gadot is collaborating with Schnabel on her next film project, given his history of producing anti-Israel content in the past. It raises concerns about Gadot’s understanding of serious matters and her decision to associate with filmmakers who create content that can be hurtful to Israel. This seems to parallel the controversial “woke” themes in Wonder Woman 1984, and it appears that Gadot is unquestioningly continuing her leftist political stance, which only exacerbates the issues at hand.

Kudos to her for voicing her opinions on October 7, 2023 and addressing the persisting issue of antisemitism. However, her credibility seems to be diminishing due to her frequent collaboration with filmmakers whose views have been detrimental to Israel, and her decision to portray a villain in “Snow Woke” is not enhancing the positive messages she’s conveying. It would be beneficial if “Snow Woke” doesn’t succeed, but it’s regrettable that Gal Gadot isn’t bolstering her professional reputation by making more thoughtful choices than this one.
