From Season 4 Addressed by Series Producer

As a dedicated fan who has been hooked since the very first episode, I must admit that the suspense surrounding Season 4 of From is driving me to the brink of insanity! I can’t help but feel like I’ve been catfished by MGM+, promising me a future with Sheriff Boyd Stevens and his intriguing town, only to keep me waiting.

Michael Mahoney, the show’s producer, has suggested recently that the show’s continuation on MGM+ is yet to be determined, which leaves fans wondering about a potential Season 4. He explained that although the creators have concepts in mind, it’s ultimately up to MGM+ to make the final decision. With the Season 3 finale set for November 24, fans are anxiously waiting for an official announcement on the series’ future.

Michael Mahoney says ‘we cannot tell you’ if From Season 4 will happen

In a conversation with CBR, producer Michael Mahoney hinted at the potential for Season 4, saying, “Yes, but also no, we can’t confirm because it depends on decisions made by higher authorities. Essentially, that’s beyond our level of control.” This statement, also mentioned by actors Catalina Sandino Moreno and Elizabeth Saunders, suggests that the final call rests with MGM+ executives rather than the creative team behind the show.

In an interview with E-Man’s Movie Reviews, actor Harold Perrineau, playing Sheriff Boyd Stevens, shared insights into how the streaming platform MGM+, a relatively new service, influenced the show’s potential for renewal.

Perrineau expressed his sincere gratitude, stating, “Indeed, I must say it’s true. Many shows lack the chance to grow and attract viewers.” He emphasized that the show’s airing on MGM+ significantly increased its potential for continued seasons.

He added that if it had been broadcast on a bigger network, it could have faced more stringent renewal conditions. Perrineau commented, “On other networks, we might have had additional financial obligations or targets to meet for another season. But with MGM+, they were just like, ‘Let’s continue producing these shows.’

The actor expressed gratitude towards MGM+ for their ongoing assistance through difficult times, such as the 2023 Writer’s Strike. He further stated, “I’m extremely grateful to MGM+ for standing by our side, not just once, but multiple times.

At present, there’s no official confirmation about a Season 4 for “From” on MGM+. Yet, both fans and the cast are optimistic because of the show’s significant fanbase. Given that it’s one of MGM+’s few original dramas, the series might receive more attention due to the platform’s commitment to its key shows. This dedication could potentially boost its chances for a renewal.
