Friends-Themed Competition Series Set at Max To Celebrate 30th Anniversary

Friends-Themed Competition Series Set at Max To Celebrate 30th Anniversary

As a die-hard fan who grew up with Ross’s dinosaur, Monica’s cleaning obsession, Joey’s acting dreams, Chandler’s sarcastic wit, Rachel’s fashion faux pas, and Phoebe’s eccentricities, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming “Fast Friends” competition show on Max! It’s like a dream come true for us fans who have spent countless hours laughing, crying, and living vicariously through these iconic characters.

A “Friends”-style contest show is about to air on Max, celebrating the beloved sitcom’s 30th anniversary. Contestants will compete to be crowned as the “Ultimate Friends Fan”.

Back in 1994, I found myself captivated by a groundbreaking comedy series that first aired on NBC. Known as “Friends,” it quickly became my go-to show with the unforgettable Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry gracing our screens. Since its debut, this sitcom has been hailed as one of the greatest TV shows ever made, catapulting each member of its exceptional cast to stardom. Over ten seasons, I laughed along with them through the highs and lows, forming a bond that still resonates today.

I’m absolutely thrilled to share that in honor of the beloved sitcom reaching its 30th anniversary, I’ve initiated a new game show with Friends vibes titled “Fast Friends“. Can’t wait to see you all there!

What to expect in Fast Friends?

In collaboration with Warner Horizon and produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, Fast Friends is a four-part competition series housed within The Friends Experience: The One in New York (a 17,000-square-foot attraction modeled after the iconic TV show set). The triumphant team will be bestowed the title of “Ultimate Friends Fan”.

According to TheWrap’s report, the upcoming game show is designed to give fans an opportunity to reenact memorable scenes from “Friends”, such as sprinting through Rachel and Monica’s apartment or dashing across Joey and Chandler’s bachelor pad, even stopping for a coffee at Central Perk. Fans will be challenged with trivia, brainteasers, and games that will keep even the most ardent “Friends” enthusiasts engaged and entertained.

The specific date when the competition series will air hasn’t been disclosed yet, but it’s slated to start filming in October. The series is overseen by executive producers Dan Sacks, Bridgette Theriault, and Dan Norris, with Richard Burgio contributing as co-executive producer.

In addition to Fast Friends, Max will join in the celebration of the show’s 30th anniversary by offering various collections such as “The Most Viewed Episodes,” “Chandler Bing: Master of Wit (Best of Chandler),” “They Said They Were on a Break (Emphasis on Ross and Rachel),” “Friendsgiving (Episodes for Thanksgiving),” and many more.

All ten seasons of Friends are available to stream on Max.
