Kickoff for festival season is here, and BACARDÍ made quite the entrance at Paaspop with an unexpected, thrilling event. In the heart of CASA BACARDÍ, none other than Frenna took the stage unexpectedly, delighting the crowd as he announced his new partnership with BACARDÍ. This collaboration signifies the start of a fusion between music, culture, and community, offering a magical blend of musical harmony, excitement, and an unforgettable prelude to summer’s adventures.
As a devoted admirer, I can truly say that Frenna, an artist, visionary, and label head, epitomizes BACARDÍ’s fundamental principles: freedom, self-expression, and unity. His electrifying performance demonstrated the transformative power of collective spirit, creating a moment that lingers in memory. This collaboration and spectacular show mark the start of a summer brimming with legendary experiences, as CASA BACARDÍ pulsates as the lively epicenter of Caribbean rhythms and rum-inspired festivities. For the second year running, CASA BACARDÍ proved to be one of the most buzzed-about destinations at the festival.
As a Ghanaian-Dutch gamer, I’m proud to be one of the prominent figures in Dutch music, known as Frenna (Francis Edusei). My global anthems like “Ghetto Youth,” “Abloh,” and “Money Deh Yah” showcase my exceptional ability to blend hip hop, afrobeats, pop, and dancehall, creating a sound that transcends borders. I embody the essence of BACARDÍ, living for freedom, expressing myself fearlessly, and connecting with people through my music, no matter where they’re from.
At the lively CASA BACARDÍ stage, Frenna provided an extraordinary experience with an unexpected performance that sent shivers through the crowd. Establishing the pace for future events at Paaspop and diverse DJ sets, Frenna expressed: “I aimed to create something unique, something attention-grabbing and bonding. The excitement was palpable from the moment we exited the mainstage. Surrounded by my dancers, we navigated through the festival grounds directly to CASA BACARDÍ for a surprise show. It seemed like a full-blown takeover; people trailed us, dancing the entire way. That feeling of unity was everywhere.
To align with the brand’s slogan “Do What Moves You,” BACARDÍ is organizing four extra summer events to honor the 125th anniversary of the beloved BACARDÍ & Cola, a timeless cocktail duo that originated in dance culture and was championed by international legends. This year, CASA BACARDÍ will be introduced at Het Amsterdams Verbond (May 5) and Solar Weekend (August 1–3), while also making a comeback to Amsterdam Open Air (June 7–8) and Lowlands (August 15–17) – a cherished festival in the Netherlands, where BACARDÍ has been a lively part of the scene for more than a decade.
At these various events, BACARDÍ will express its authentic essence, music, camaraderie, and the lively spirit of summer. This expression is manifested through dynamic festivities that showcase fashion, culture, and remarkable cocktails and beverages. As Solar Weekend reaches its 20th year and BACARDÍ celebrates over a decade at Lowlands, the brand continues to pay tribute to its Caribbean heritage by maintaining the beat and the essence of “The Sound of Rum” within diverse, energetic communities.
