As a long-time fan of the original “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” hearing that Freddie Prinze Jr. is considering joining the reboot has me more excited than a teenage girl at a Backstreet Boys concert! The memories I have from watching that movie back in ’97 are still vivid, and seeing the cast reunite would be like a nostalgic dream come true.
Freddie Prinze Jr. is interested in returning for the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot.
In a chat with US Weekly, Freddie Prinze Jr. shared that he’s willing to be part of the upcoming Sony Pictures remake. At this point, there’s no signed deal, but he’s in discussions with the studio to bring the project to fruition.
“Prinze Jr. stated that nothing is finalized until the contract is signed, but he’s definitely in discussions with them. If all parties involved can find a way to align their schedules and both want to move forward, they will try to make it happen. However, they must ensure everyone’s schedules are compatible.”
“Prinze Jr. went on to say, ‘Everyone should be content with the script.’ I have a great admiration for Jen Robinson, the director of the reboot. Not only am I impressed by her directing skills, but I also appreciate her as an individual. I believe people like her are the future of this industry. There are many positive aspects that make me eager to participate in the movie.”
In the 1997 movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe, Jim Belushi Jr. portrayed the character Ray Bronson. It’s been mentioned that Jennifer Love Hewitt might rejoin the cast as well.
As an ardent supporter, I can confidently say that I’m fired up, and I believe the same goes for them. I see the efforts on both sides, and I truly hope that our collective dedication leads us towards success.
