His groundbreaking play “Aint No Mo'” earned him a place in history as the youngest Black American playwright on Broadway. The production garnered six Tony award nominations, one of which recognized Cooper’s acting prowess for his role as flight attendant Peaches.

What else do we know about Freaky Friday 2?

In the upcoming Freaky Friday sequel, we’ll see the return of Curtis and Lohan in their characters Tess and Anna Coleman. Additionally, several original cast members from the 2003 film will reprise their roles: Mark Harmon as Ryan, Chad Michael Murray as Jake, Christina Vidal Mitchell as Maddie, Haley Hudson as Peg, Rosalind Chao as Pei-Pei, Lucille Song as Pei-Pei’s mother, and Stephen Tobolowsky as Mr. Bates.

The film is a follow-up to the 2003 hit movie, offering a unique twist by exploring multiple generations. Years have passed since Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) experienced their identity crisis, and now Anna has a daughter and a stepdaughter. As they deal with the complexities that arise when two families unite, Tess and Anna find out if fate might repeat itself as they encounter new challenges.

Joining the cast for the first time are actresses like Julia Butters from Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, Sophia Hammons from Up Here, Manny Jacinto known for his roles in The Good Place and The Acolyte, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, famous for her work on Never Have I Ever.

Nisha Ganatra will be in charge of the next installment of Freaky Friday. Previously, she has directed films like ‘Cake’ from 2005, ‘Late Night’ in 2019, and ‘The High Note’ in 2020.

As an enthusiastic admirer, I’d like to share that I’ve learned that the trio consisting of Kristin Burr, Andrew Gunn, and Curtis are the ones in charge of producing this upcoming movie. Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan, Nathan Kelly, and Ann Marie Sanderlin have graciously taken on the roles of executive producers for the project.

In 2003, the initial release of this film generated approximately $160.8 million at the box office, and it has continued to be cherished by audiences since then. It was a revamped version of the 1976 Disney movie, which featured Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster in leading roles.
