As a seasoned gamer and horror enthusiast with a soft spot for werewolves, I can’t help but feel a thrill running down my spine at the sight of the trailer for Werewolves. Having survived countless nights playing games like “The Forest” and “Wolfenstein,” I’ve become somewhat accustomed to these bloodthirsty beasts. But let me tell you, nothing quite compares to the raw, visceral terror that comes from a well-crafted horror movie.
The entertainment site, Bloody Disgusting, has revealed the high-octane trailer for their forthcoming horror-thriller titled “Werewolves,” starring Frank Grillo.
The forthcoming movie, marked as “R” for its violent, gory scenes and strong language, is set to premiere in theaters on December 6, 2024. This grisly production is helmed by director Steven C. Miller, who has previously worked on Silent Night, Deadly Night, and written by Matthew Kennedy, best known for his work on Inheritance.
What happens in the Werewolves trailer?
The trailer hints that “exactly a year ago, a supermoon transformed countless individuals into werewolves.” As the trailer starts with a woman being pursued by a werewolf, it suggests that this frightening occurrence is happening once more. It then presents Grillo’s character, Wesley Marshall, who seems familiar with these dangerous creatures.
During the next supermoon event, a hidden gene in every human worldwide gets activated, transforming anyone exposed to moonlight into a werewolf for that particular night. The outcome was catastrophic, with close to a billion casualties. A year has passed, and now, the Supermoon is set to return.

Besides Grillo, who gained fame in the Purge series, the cast of Werewolves includes Katrina Law known from NCIS and Snow Bride, playing Dr. Amy Chen; Ilfenesh Hadera, recognized for her roles in Godfather of Harlem and Baywatch, as Lucy Marshall; James Michael Cummings, famed from City On The Hill, as Cody Walker; and Lou Diamond Phillips, well-known for Prodigal Son, taking on the role of Dr. Aranda.
Aside from my role as a werewolf, I’ll be appearing next as Rick Flag Sr. in the highly anticipated Superman film directed by James Gunn. I’ve been no stranger to taking on action roles, having previously starred in films like Edge of Darkness, Zero Dark Thirty, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Beyond Skyline, One Day as a Lion, Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, and Point Blank, just to name a few.
This action-packed horror-thriller is produced by Briarcliff Entertainment and The Solution Entertainment Group.
Werewolves hits cinemas on December 6.
