18th-ranked tennis player Frances Tiafoe, joined by his girlfriend Ayan Broomfield, disclosed that he and pop sensation Taylor Swift enjoyed a shared suite at Arrowhead Stadium. They spent their time together exchanging drinks, stories, and easy-going chats.
I stepped into the room, and there, right off the bat, was Taylor. He gave a casual laugh, saying something along the lines of “You know, try to act like you’ve been here before.” (as quoted by TennisTV)
They had an instant connection, spending their entire day in each other’s pleasant company. As Tiafeoe put it, “We were inseparable all day long, and she was so laid-back. One of the most genuine individuals you could meet. She truly embodies humility.” He further expressed, “I hope we can repeat that wonderful experience again.
Apart from the enjoyment and beverages, Tiafoe found it surprising that Swift demonstrated a sincere passion for tennis. Known for being there to cheer on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, the singer displayed her understanding of the game.
Additionally, Tiafoe disclosed that Swift had expressed her desire to watch him compete in the U.S. Open. Fostering their friendship even further, it turns out that Kelce is a supporter of Tiafoe. In his own words, he remembered, “She said, ‘Trav is a fan of yours.'” This statement was followed by a smile from Tiafoe.
Previously, the tennis champion hadn’t considered himself a fan of the singer, but after their encounter, he now greatly admires her. “It’s surprising because I wasn’t saying I was a fan, but I value greatness so much,” he shared. “Her cool demeanor earned my utmost respect.
