Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Trailer Release Date Revealed in New Video

Universal Pictures has recently unveiled a sneak peek video, hinting at the imminent release of the trailer for the upcoming sequel of the highly successful 2023 supernatural horror movie, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, which is set to debut on December 5, 2025.

When is the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 trailer release date?

According to a recent update by producer Jason Blum, we can expect the official release of the very first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 on April 3rd, which is just around the corner!

More information about the plot of the sequel is being closely guarded, but it’s anticipated that Matthew Lillard will once again take on his villainous character, William Afton, from the Scream series. In the 2023 film, Afton was first portrayed as a career counselor, later unveiled as a serial killer. Alongside Lillard, Josh Hutcherson (known for The Hunger Games films) is also set to reappear in his role as Mike Schmidt, who made his debut as a security guard in the original installment.

The film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s, known for its popular horror video game created by Scott Cawthon, served as its inspiration. Director Emma Tammi is coming back for the sequel, together with co-writers Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. Currently, there’s no information about the new cast members for the sequel. Despite garnering unfavorable reviews from critics, the original movie managed to gross more than $280 million globally against an estimated budget of approximately $20 million.
