Universal Pictures has unveiled the very first trailer for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2”, which is Blumhouse’s eagerly awaited horror sequel due out in 2023 as part of their supernatural movie collection inspired by Scott Cawthon’s well-known horror video game. The upcoming film will be premiering on December 5, 2025.

Who is in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 teaser trailer?

The video presents the primary actors of the sequel, such as Matthew Lillard, who previously starred in Scream as the villainous William Afton, reprising his role. In this 2023 film, his character initially appeared as a career counselor but was later unmasked as a serial killer. Other returning cast members include Josh Hutcherson (famous for The Hunger Games films) as Mike Schmidt, Elizabeth Lail (from You) as Vanessa, and Piper Rubio (known for For All Mankind) as Abby.

In the second installment of Five Nights at Freddy’s, Emma Tammi takes the director’s chair once more, having collaborated on the script with Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. This follow-up production is overseen by both Cawthon and Jason Blum, with Christopher H. Warner filling the role of executive producer. While it garnered unfavorable feedback from critics, the original film managed to bring in a staggering global revenue of more than $280 million, despite an estimated budget of approximately $20 million.

presently, Lillard is filming Scream 7, where he’ll be back as the beloved character Stu Macher. The seventh installment of the popular slasher series is set to hit theaters on February 27, 2026. Not too long ago, it was announced that Lillard would join the cast for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, though his role hasn’t been specified yet.
