What do we know about Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and Drop?
In simpler terms, “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” is the upcoming follow-up to the 2023 version of “Five Nights at Freddy’s”. Currently, we don’t have many details about the storyline. The director from the first movie, Emma Tammi, will be back for this sequel, and so will Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon, who produced the original film and created the video game that inspired the franchise.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s sequel will be released in United States theaters on December 5, 2025.
Meanwhile, Drop is helmed by Landon, a filmmaker recognized for his work on Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014), Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015), Happy Death Day (2017), its sequel Happy Death Day 2U (2019), Freaky (2020), and most recently, We Have a Ghost in 2023.
From what we understand about the movie’s storyline so far, based on ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim’s account from the NYCC event, it starts with a woman receiving terrifying memes via AirDrop in a restaurant, which then leads her into a deadly game. A trailer for the film was previewed during the panel.
Christopher Landon, director known for ‘HAPPY DEATH DAY’ and ‘FREAKY’, unveiled the trailer for his upcoming film ‘DROP’ at BlumFest during NYCC.

In a different phrasing: The actors in this movie are Violett Beane, Meghan Fahy, Jacob Robinson, Ed Weeks, and Brandon Sklenar. Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach penned the screenplay, while Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller take on producer roles, with Sam Lerner serving as an executive producer.
Drop will be released in United States theaters on April 11, 2025.
