Paramount Pictures and Sega have unveiled the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, due to release in cinemas this coming December. This new installment in the franchise draws from the classic platform game, Sonic 3. The storyline features Shadow the Hedgehog as a main villain, and brings back some familiar characters.
As a die-hard Sonic fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as I share the news about the first Sonic 3 trailer! Clocking in at almost three minutes, it’s jam-packed with action and introduces our main antagonist – Shadow. While Sonic and Shadow might share some common roots, a wave of sorrow and loss has steered Shadow towards the shadows. In this trailer, we catch glimpses of intense battles between him, our blue blur, Knuckles, and Tails.
In the trailer, it’s revealed that Keanu Reeves provides the voice for the character Shadow, marking our first listen to him. Additionally, we see Jim Carrey reprising his role as Dr. Robotnik. It seems that Team Sonic will enlist Shadow’s help in their mission to defeat him.
