ComingSoon can exclusively reveal a first look at The Asylum’s Snow White.
The Asylum is a movie company famous for releasing economical films, often referred to as mockbusters. These are movies that cash in on the success of upcoming big-budget films by having similar titles, storylines, and themes.
Starting this month, Disney’s live-action version of Snow White will grace the big screen. In contrast, The Asylum has planned to release its own unique take on Snow White in selected theaters and digitally on March 7, 2027.

What is The Asylum’s Snow White movie about?
In the given synopsis, it suggests that when the Queen’s jealousy escalates to a dangerous level, Snow White is forced to ally with dwarves (or gnomes) in order to counteract her wicked stepmother’s anger.
In this movie, you’ll find Danny Bondauce, Jessica Chancellor, DC Douglas, and Kim Little among the main stars. The directorial duties are handled by Michael Johnson and Erica Duke, with the script penned by Joe Roche and Lauren Pritchard.
The locations where Asylum’s Snow White is set to be screened include the Laemmle Monica Film Center in Santa Monica, California, the Aurora Cineplex in Roswell, Georgia, the Film Noir Cinema in Brooklyn, New York, the Hickory Ridge Cinemas in Brunswick, Ohio, and the Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
2025 finds me eagerly anticipating the nationwide release of Disney’s Snow White on March 21st, a production by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This time around, Rachel Zegler steps into the role of Snow White, with Gal Gadot bringing the Evil Queen to life on screen. Known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man films starring Andrew Garfield and 500 Days of Summer, Marc Webb directs this enchanting tale. I can hardly wait!
The summary for this movie states it’s a live-action musical retelling of the 1937 Disney film “Snow White,” featuring our favorite characters such as Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy in a magical music adventure that revisits the classic tale.
