As a lifelong fan of Universal Monsters, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Dark Universe! Having grown up watching these iconic creatures terrorize the silver screen, it’s absolutely thrilling to see them brought to life in such an immersive and terrifying way.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Universal has given us a sneak peek into their groundbreaking Dark Universe monster animatronics! These animatronics will bring to life some of my all-time favorite characters from the universe, offering an immersive experience at the park.
The latest monstrous creations will be featured in the “Frankenstein Experiment” attraction within Universal Orlando Resort’s Dark Universe, a part of the Universal Epic Universe that is expected to debut in 2025 with five distinct worlds.
14 characters will be showcased in this ride, among them are Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Wolf Man, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Universal Studios’ Dark Universe World is slated to debut on May 22, 2025.

What Universal Monsters will be at Dark Universe?
This new area is themed around the Dark Universe of Universal Pictures, offering visitors a chance to explore the lore of classic characters such as Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, and the Bride of Frankenstein, alongside more contemporary figures like Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, a descendant of Henry Frankenstein.
Fans can gain entry into the “thrilling gateway” that taps into the might of Darkmoor. Upon passing through, spectators will have an unobstructed look at Frankenstein’s Mansion, acting as the focal point within the whole region.
Visitors can actively engage in experiences such as The Frankenstein Experiment ride, where participants delve into the depths of Frankenstein Manor’s catacombs to observe an ongoing experiment.
You can also take a ride themed around The Wolf Man, plus there’s an opportunity to interact with some frightful creatures through makeup sessions and meet-and-greets. For food, we offer Das Steakhouse, The Burning Blade Tavern, and Dr. Lacey’s Cottage as dining options.
