In a candid interview, he shared the reasons behind his decision not to venture out on his own just yet.

What did Finn Wolfhard say about living with his parents?

During an interview with PEOPLE, Finn Wolfhard shared that he spent approximately two years living on his own before returning to live with his family for a year. While working on Stranger Things, he lived alone in Atlanta for a year, but later chose to move back in with his loved ones.

The actor went on to mention that he, along with his family, have a residence in Vancouver. Yet, he emphasized they continue to reside under the same roof. Growing up in Vancouver, Wolfhard was nurtured by parents Eric Wolfhard and Mary Jolivet, who fostered and boosted his artistic aspirations. Eric, aside from being a researcher on aboriginal land claims, has also delved into screenwriting.

Wolfhard casually shared that he seldom has the chance to see his family. He considers Vancouver as a “comforting home base,” expressing that it’s essential for him to have a place, like where his parents are, to return to since he spends most of the year away for work.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Wolfhard spent time at his residence in Vancouver, as reported by The Guardian. In a chat with the publication, he mentioned that he discovered how to deal with boredom during his stay there.

During an interview with Ryan Reynolds for Interview Magazine in 2019, Wolfhard expressed his deep affection for Vancouver. He revealed that his life would have taken a different course if not for growing up in this city, stating that he wouldn’t be the person he is today without Vancouver’s influence.
