The final Heretic trailer has been released for the horror movie starring Hugh Grant. Written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, it will be released in United States theaters on November 15, 2024.
Two youthful missionaries find themselves tested in their beliefs after accidentally visiting the home of a mischievous and cunning character, Mr. Reed, portrayed by Hugh Grant. This unwitting encounter leads to their entanglement in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse orchestrated by Mr. Reed.

The movie also stars Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets), Chloe East (The Fabelmans), and Topher Grace (That ’70s Show). Heretic held its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and received positive reviews from critics, with many praising Grant’s performance.
Previously, Beck and Woods have made films such as Nightlight (2015), Haunt (2019), and 65 (2023). They’ve also penned the scripts for A Quiet Place (2018) and The Boogeyman (2023). They are currently involved in producing Heretic, which is being done in collaboration with Stacey Sher, Julia Glausi, and Jeanette Volturno.
This film was created by the team consisting of Woods, Beck, Jeanette Volturno, Stacey Shrer, and Julia Glausi. Kai Raka and Liliane Bedford share the role as co-producers, while Katie Aquino is an assistant producer. The running time is approximately 1 hour and 51 minutes.
