In a fresh twist for the series, Final Fantasy 16 veered significantly towards an action RPG style, playing more like Devil May Cry than traditional Final Fantasy games might suggest. Despite this change, it effectively maintains its appeal and delivers a robust narrative alongside its gameplay transformation. Our Shacknews review from last year found much to appreciate in the game, albeit with some reservations.
Mark your calendars! Final Fantasy 16 is due out on our PCs in September. Keep an eye out for more information and updates as we approach the game’s release on both Epic Games Store and Steam.
