As a dedicated Guardian with countless hours spent in the Destiny universe, I eagerly anticipate the return of the Festival of the Lost each year. The spooky festivities always provide a thrilling break from the usual battlefield action, and this year is no exception.
The Festival of the Lost offers Guardians an opportunity to honor fallen comrades through battling ghostly enemies and donning masks. Despite its late start this season, it’s expected to run for the customary duration.
Festival of the Lost 2024 start time
It’s anticipated that Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost in 2024 will commence during the usual weekly reset on October 29, 2024. This is considered an expectation rather than a confirmed date because Bungie hasn’t yet announced the exact start time. However, since October 29 is the final weekly reset of October, it seems to be the last possible opportunity to kick off the event before we move into November.
According to several participants, it implies the gathering commences just two days prior to Halloween, whereas previously Bungie allowed fans a significant portion of October for the festivities associated with the spooky season. However, the positive aspect is that the event’s duration remains consistent with past years, lasting approximately two weeks.
In 2021, participants will navigate spooky deserted sectors, vanquishing Headless Ones, and enlarging the Book of the Forgotten. These actions are aimed at acquiring a novel Shotgun, Festival masks, along with other aesthetic rewards, presumably found within an Event Bundle.
