Ferrari’s First EV Slated To Arrive Next Year

Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari, has officially confirmed that the long-awaited first electric vehicle from the renowned Italian car manufacturer will start being delivered as early as October 2026. This disclosure was made during a conference call discussing the company’s first-quarter earnings, where they also highlighted a robust 15% growth in core earnings and affirmed their financial projections for the remainder of the year.

Instead of waiting until late 2026 for the electric vehicle (EV) to arrive, Ferrari intends to reveal a sneak peek at the fundamental technology behind their inaugural EV much sooner. The essential technology of this first electric model will be presented during Ferrari’s Capital Markets Day on October 9, 2025. This indicates that they will initially disclose the powertrain and groundbreaking technical features that will drive their upcoming EV.

Though Ferrari is venturing into the electric vehicle market, it’s important to note that they also plan on continuing their production and sales of traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid models. This approach suggests a strategic move to accommodate various consumer tastes while adapting to the changing automotive industry landscape with a versatile powertrain strategy. The brand has recently revealed new plug-in hybrid models and aims to introduce six new vehicles by 2025, marking an exciting time for innovation and growth in their product lineup.
