As a die-hard fan of Remedy Entertainment and someone who’s spent countless hours battling otherworldly threats in their games, I can hardly contain my excitement for FBC: Firebreak! The trailer alone had me reminiscing about the good old days with Alan Wake and Max Payne, but with an even crazier twist.
In simpler terms, “Firebreak” is the title for a fresh Intellectual Property (IP) developed by Remedy Entertainment, featuring a First-Person Shooter (FPS) gameplay where you engage in battles against outlandish alien adversaries armed with bizarre weaponry.
Battle hordes of mutants with exploding garden gnomes
2025 finds me joining forces with two comrades in Remedy’s latest first-person shooter. As part of the “Firebreak Group,” we’re on a mission to safeguard the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) against extraterrestrial threats, ensuring its survival and preserving our world as we know it.
In a relentless siege by mysterious entities, it’s only the versatile Firebreak team from the Federal Bureau of Control who can re-establish control and order, and they are set to launch in 2025. Add them to your wishlist!

As a fervent enthusiast, I’ve been left tantalized by the snippet of direction the game seems to be headed in, based on the trailer alone. The setting appears strikingly similar to Remedy Entertainment’s previous shooter, Control, which unfolds within the confines of an enigmatic government complex.
However, it’s crucial to note that the main point of interest revolves around some unconventional weaponry. Here we find a rifle capable of repelling enemies and bouncing off the ground, a grenade launcher that spits poisonous projectiles with a crank mechanism, and a device that launches explosive garden gnomes.
The game titled “Firebreak” is set to launch for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Notably, it will be accessible through GamePass on its release date.
As a gaming enthusiast, it’s exciting to witness the resurgence of cooperative shooter games! Despite the letdowns like Redfall, there have been shining stars such as Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 that I’ve truly enjoyed playing.
What do you think about Remedy’s new project? Has it won you over yet?
