Fans are complaining about the Thing’s voice and design in Fantastic Four trailer
At last, the initial sneak peek for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been unveiled online! This 1 minute and 37 second clip offers a tantalizing glimpse of our title characters, leaving fans enamored by its nostalgic style. However, while most viewers were overall pleased with the teaser trailer, several expressed their dissatisfaction regarding The Thing’s voice.
Sharing pictures from a teaser, My Time To Shine Hello (a well-known influencer) recently posted on X (previously known as Twitter), asking their followers for opinions about the design of “The Thing” from Bachrach’s work. One user responded by expressing appreciation for the design but found the animation to be a bit unusual, and also mentioned a preference for a deeper voice in the character.

User SyncereX8 responded to the initial post, expressing thoughts that align with yours regarding the Thing’s voice. Their comment was, “I think the design is excellent, but I wished for a slightly more profound voice. It’s just my personal preference.
Design is great, kinda wanted a little deeper on the voice. Just me.

Kireina Kerner suggested that the creators of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” should focus on improving the Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) for The Thing’s character, expressing her feelings as, “To be honest, I’m not finding the CGI for this character appealing. They should put in some extra effort to refine and perfect it before the scheduled release date.
Frankly speaking, the computer-generated imagery (CGI) for this character isn’t quite appealing to me at the moment. It would be ideal if they could make some adjustments and fine-tune it prior to its launch.

Cosmic Book News showed surprise that Marvel hadn’t changed the voice of The Thing, as they stated in a post: “Amazingly, they didn’t modify the voice for The Thing? Incredulous chuckle.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but echo the sentiments shared by another user regarding the voice of “The Thing” in the teaser trailer. They described it as quite unusual, stating that it lacks the usual graveliness one might expect. To put it simply, it sounds extremely peculiar to me too.
I’m just gonna say it, The Thing sounds very weird without any gravel in his voice.
Very weird.
