Fantastic Four MCU Movie’s Runtime Is Shorter Than Expected

This Year’s Shortest Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Is Titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”
“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is the shortest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe slated for release this year.

Recently, AMC Theatres had initially set the running time for the Fantastic Four reboot at approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes, or 130 minutes – a duration that would have placed it among the longest Marvel Cinematic Universe films since the commencement of the Multiverse Saga. But now, with just a month remaining until the release of First Steps in theaters, AMC Theatres has adjusted the film’s runtime, reducing it by nearly 30 minutes.

How long is the Fantastic Four MCU movie’s runtime?

As a dedicated gamer, I just checked out AMC Theatres’ website and found that “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will run for 1 hour and 55 minutes, or 115 minutes in total. Even though it’s the longest movie in the Fantastic Four franchise, compared to the last six MCU films released, it’s quite a short spin. Seems like we’ll be diving into the Multiverse Saga for a shorter stint this time around!

In terms of length, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 remains the longest at approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. This is followed closely by Deadpool and Wolverine, Thunderbolts, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Captain America: Brave New World, which are respectively 128 minutes, 127 minutes, 124 minutes, and 1 hour and 58 minutes long. The only Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film released in the last three years with a shorter runtime than The Fantastic Four: First Steps is The Marvels, which came in at a swift 1 hour and 45 minutes.

In a colorful, futuristic setting reminiscent of the 1960s, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces us to Marvel’s original family – Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thick-Skinned One (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). As they juggle their duties as superheroes with the deep ties of family, they find themselves confronting a formidable adversary: a ravenous cosmic deity named Galactus (Ralph Ineson), along with his mysterious emissary, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). The threat of Galactus’ intention to consume Earth and all its inhabitants is already grave, but it becomes personal when…

As a die-hard gamer, I can’t wait to witness the grand unveiling of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” directed by the talented Matt Shakman, on the big screen next summer, specifically on July 25, 2025!
