Marvel Studios has unveiled some international posters for the eagerly anticipated return of Marvel’s original team, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This film marks the beginning of Phase 6 and is slated to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
What is shown in The Fantastic Four: First Step posters?
The posters offer fans a fresh perspective on the main character group called the superhero team, which includes new additions to the franchise: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. These global posters emphasize the unique abilities of each hero, as well as their reliable and faithful robot named H.E.R.B.I.E.
In a colorful, futuristic setting reminiscent of the 1960s, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps presents Marvel’s original family – Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). Facing their toughest challenge yet, they struggle to reconcile their hero duties with the power of their familial ties. They must protect Earth from a voracious space deity named Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his mysterious emissary, Silver Surfer. The threat becomes even more personal when Galactus’ intention to consume the planet and everyone on it comes into play.
In a new twist, Matt Shakman, known for his work on WandaVision, is directing The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Joining the cast are Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face), Julia Garner (Ozark) portraying the Silver Surfer, Ralph Ineson (Harry Potter) as Galactus, and Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird). Prior to Marvel Studios regaining the rights, Sony Pictures had twice adapted the main characters into live-action, with Chris Evans playing the Human Torch in their initial adaptation that produced two films.
