In 2020, he made news when he shared his unconventional retirement plans – a desire to drive for Uber in Spain. During a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Fahadh was asked if these thoughts still lingered. He confirmed that they do.
Fahadh Faasil stands by his retirement dream of driving people in Spain
Fahadh Faasil mentioned that he and his group had been to Barcelona not too long ago, and he continues to entertain the idea of working as a taxi driver there. He joked, “Yes, yes, of course. We were in Barcelona a short while back. I’m still thinking about it. I think that’ll only happen when everyone gets tired of me!
Besides joking, Fahadh stated, “Simply the thought of driving someone from one location to another is, in my opinion, quite lovely. At least you’re bearing witness to their journey’s end.
The actor shared that he continues to relish driving, and whenever an opportunity arises, he jumps at the chance to get behind the wheel. He emphasized that it’s not only a pastime but also a great time for contemplation, as he enjoys it immensely, considering it his personal space for thought.
When Fahadh Faasil first opened up about his post-retirement dream
In 2020, during the promotion of CU Soon, Fahadh Faasil shared his post-acting career aspirations with The Indian Express. He expressed enthusiasm about becoming an Uber driver and driving people around Spain. “At present,” he said, “I can’t think of anything more enjoyable than being an Uber driver in Barcelona. I want to drive people throughout Spain as part of my retirement plan.” His wife seems fond of this idea.
Preparing for the premiere of the movie “Maareesan,” where he acts alongside Vadivelu, this Malayalam actor is busy on the job front. This film, a Tamil-language comedy thriller directed by Sudheesh Sankar, is scheduled to open in cinemas on July 25.
