Brad Pitt’s new Formula One film has hit cinemas and it’s receiving rave reviews everywhere! With all the buzz surrounding this officially licensed F1 movie, fans are speculating whether there might be a hint of a sequel at the end. Strictly speaking, there isn’t a post-credits scene in F1. But, there is indeed a mid-credits scene included in the film.
Does F1 have a mid or post-credits scene?
In contrast to many high-budget films these days, the Joseph Kosinski movie doesn’t have a scene after the credits roll; however, it does feature a scene during the credits themselves.
The entire film centers around Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt, a former Formula One racer now working on lesser circuits. He gets contacted by Ruben (portrayed by Javier Bardem), who enlists him for his F1 team. The movie chronicles Sonny’s racing adventure as he competes and ultimately triumphs in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
At the end of the movie, Hayes chooses to depart as an F1 champion. However, a scene during the credits hints at a new adventure for Hayes, although it doesn’t necessarily set up a direct sequel.

In the post-credit sequence of F1, we find Hayes traveling to Baja, California. Upon arrival, he seeks out a racing team involved in off-road competitions and inquires if they are still in need of a driver. This scene serves as a callback to an earlier part of the movie where Hayes was contemplating racing on this specific circuit before encountering Ruben.
In essence, the mid-credits sequence feels like a continuation of the film rather than a setup for a follow-up or spin-off. As the screen fills with credits, we see Hayes speeding along off-road tracks in Baja, suggesting that his adventures are far from over.
Absolutely, it leaves room for a potential spin-off, though it’s not very probable in this scenario. If we do see a follow-up, there are numerous other directions the movie could take instead.
