As a longtime gamer who vividly remembers the thrill of those high-speed races in the early 2000s, I can’t help but jump for joy at the news that F-Zero Climax and F-Zero: GP Legend are coming to the Nintendo Switch Online catalog! Being a kid back then, my Game Boy Advance was my prized possession, and these games were always the ones I wished I had. Now, with age comes wisdom, and also a bigger wallet, so I’m more than ready to revisit these classics!


Since the launch of F-Zero 99 in 2023, it seems like Nintendo has rekindled its enthusiasm for its previously neglected, high-speed racing series. Excitingly, F-Zero Climax and F-Zero: GP Legend are set to join the Nintendo Switch Online library of Game Boy Advance games, delighting longtime fans of the franchise.

As a speed demon, I can’t wait to crush Zoda and his Dark Million gang in the electrifying races of F-ZERO CLIMAX! Then, I’ll prove my mettle in the ultra-fast F-Zero Grand Prix tournaments from F-Zero – GP Legend. These adrenaline-pumping GameBoy Advance classics are revving up for a comeback on the NintendoSwitch, exclusively for NintendoSwitchOnline+ Expansion members on October 11th!

On October 1, 2024, Nintendo of America unexpectedly revealed that F-Zero Climax and F-Zero: GP Legend are set to join the lineup of games accessible through the Nintendo Switch Online’s Game Boy Advance library.
