Eyes of Wakanda: New Details About MCU Show Emerge, Iron Fist Teased

New details about the Eyes of Wakanda MCU show have been revealed.

The upcoming animated series, “Eyes of Wakanda,” produced by Todd Harris and airing on Disney+ starting August, is an anthology with a grand total of 4 episodes, each delving into a distinct era in the history of Wakanda.

What is the new Eyes of Wakanda update?

At the Annecy Animation Festival, the debut episode of ‘Eyes of Wakanda’ (a variety show) was unveiled, with Harris in attendance.

The initial installment of a four-part series is set in 1260 B.C. and revolves around a Wakandan secret agent named Noni (portrayed by Winnie Harlow). This ex-Dora Milaje, disgraced in her past, is on the hunt for a man known as ‘Lion’ (Cress Williams), who has abandoned his position in the Wakandan guard to lead a gang of pirates. He’s stolen advanced technology from Wakanda to establish his own kingdom. Noni tracks him down in Crete, where Lion’s international team of pirates, composed of fighters from various parts of the world, are currently looting and enslaving a settlement. …”The movie also includes reminiscent elements, like dialogue and visual aesthetics similar to Ryan Coogler’s initial Black Panther, yet Harris emphasizes that the objective wasn’t to create another one, but instead, the aim was to develop something fresh.

Harris teased, “There will be an Iron Fist in here, and not the Iron Fist you expect.”

In addition to the already announced cast members, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Coleman, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint, and Anika Noni Rose have also been added to the project.

The film titled “Marvel’s Eyes of Wakanda” is set to debut on Disney+ on August 6, 2025, marking its release during Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In the meantime, you can catch both of the Black Panther movies from Marvel Studios right now on Disney+’s streaming service.
