Having grown up watching the Sharknado franchise and other low-budget gems from The Asylum, I’ve learned to appreciate their unique blend of campiness and creativity.

Witch Hunter is an upcoming film by The Asylum, famed for producing Sharknado and other affordable, direct-to-video movies that can sometimes serve as mockbusters. Headlined by Doug Bradley, the movie will hit select U.S. theaters later this month.

What happens in the Witch Hunter trailer?

In the trailer for “The Witch Hunter,” viewers are given a glimpse into a magical realm where a tiny, medieval village is under siege by an ominous witch with malicious intent. To combat this danger, they enlist the aid of a skilled witch hunter, and scenes featuring dragons, colossal spiders, and other fantastical creatures are also shown.

In a medieval setting, a town is besieged by nightmarish beasts that have been transformed from harmless woodland creatures by a malevolent and wicked sorceress. A valiant witch hunter along with his band of warriors are now embarking into the forest to face these terrifying entities and annihilate the source of the sorceress’s dark enchantments. This is the premise of the movie.

Bradley is primarily recognized for his role as Pinhead in the initial eight movies of the Hellraiser series. Additionally, he has acted in numerous films including Nightbreed (1990), Book of Blood (2009), The Reverend (2011), Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines (2012), Scream Park (2012) and many others.

Alongside D.C. Douglas and Dylan Vox, the film boasts a talented cast. It is directed by Marc Gottlieb, with Joshua Pruett being credited for the screenplay.
