Exclusive The End Clip Features an Awkward Dinner With Tilda Swinton & Michael Shannon

As a film enthusiast with a soft spot for post-apocalyptic narratives and a deep appreciation for musicals, I can hardly contain my excitement for “The End”. Having lived through numerous movie-induced apocalypses, I can confidently say that this one looks particularly intriguing.

Looking forward to premiering an exclusive sneak peek from Joshua Oppenheimer’s upcoming post-apocalyptic musical movie titled “The End”. This film revolves around a wealthy family who survived the end of the world and is set to hit theaters in Los Angeles and New York on December 6, 2024, expanding to selected cities on December 13, 2024.

25 years following the devastating environmental breakdown that rendered Earth inhospitable, Mother, Father, and Son find themselves living within a luxurious underground shelter. Amidst their struggles to preserve optimism and a semblance of routine, they hold onto the traditions of everyday life.

Who is in the exclusive The End clip?

The video features award-winning actors Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton) and Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals) in an awkward family dinner with George MacKay (1917) and Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit). The film will also star Bronagh Gallagher, Tim McInnerny, Lennie James, and Danielle Ryan.

Titled “The End,” this poignant and deeply human musical is steered by director Joshua Oppenheimer, who collaborated on the script with Rasmus Heisterberg (known for “A Royal Affair”). Tilda Swinton not only plays a role in this production but also acts as a producer, alongside Oppenheimer and Signe Byrge Sorensen. The musical numbers will be composed by Joshua Schmidt, with lyrics penned by Oppenheimer himself.

Before hitting the big screen, I was fortunate enough to catch the world premiere of this flick at the Telluride Film Festival back in August. Later on, Neon secured the rights for its distribution.
