What happens in the Rippy trailer?
The movie trailer emphasizes its chaotic storyline, featuring a band of hunters chasing after an infected, homicidal kangaroo carrying a mysterious virus. The film titled “Rippy” is set to debut in U.S. theaters and digital platforms like video-on-demand starting October 18, 2024.

Rippy hails from director Ryan Coonan, who jointly scripted it with Richard Barcaricchio. The movie is inspired by their earlier short film Waterbone, initially created in 2014 and garnering acclaim on the festival circuit, featuring screenings at Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, and numerous others.
Title character Maddy, played by Tess Haubrich, is a young sheriff determined to uphold her late father’s reputation. The movie, primarily filmed in Australia, follows her as she confronts an unidentified creature that has been tearing apart the town’s inhabitants. To help her, Maddy teams up with her uncle Schmitty (Michael Biehn) and aunt Donna (Angie Milliken), and together they hunt down the gruesome monster before more destruction ensues.
