For a Second Chance (Making a Debut for All), is the work of Yakin in both writing and direction. The star-studded cast features Jeroboam Bozeman portraying DeRay, Mecca Verdell as Naima, Tommy Raps as Chuck E, Jennifer Merin playing the Elderly Woman in the Corridor, Lutricia Alexander as DeRay’s mother, Iroko Anyogu as 2 Time, Ashleigh Awusie as Naima’s mother, Terrence Berry as Temple MC, Emma Faith Bullard as Young Naima, Dupree Francois Porter as Young DeRay, and many others.

The movie is made by a group consisting of Jason Cacioppo, Jonathan Gray, Nicholas Gray, Aleksa Kurbalija, Hilary Stabb, and Yakin. Van Lathan Jr. and Nicholas Maye are in charge as executive producers. Ray Huang handles the cinematography, while Jason Cacioppo edits the film. Marcus Norris is responsible for providing the music.
